My story started when I was cutting a walnut tree into firewood. Staring at the incredible grain sitting in a burn pile, I knew there was a problem. I once watched 20 feet of once-in-a-lifetime burls get sent to the dump. I have since dug burls out of ice and frozen dirt with cold hands and a stick. I've spent weeks digging bicolor black walnuts from under a pile of 8 full-sized trees. I will do what it takes to give you my best.

I do this to rescue these trees from a tragic fate — to put in the extra time and money into the gnarly, nasty wood the sawmills can't cut. But more than that, I do this because I long for these trees to go to a home where they will matter as much to someone as they do to me. Each piece has a story. Each piece you turn creates a legacy.
